Our Awesome Government
So I ran across this article while reading Schneier’s blog. It talks about how a volunteer fire department in a small town needed a new fire truck and asked our wonderful government for some help. And boy did it come through! Homeland security gave them almost $700,000 (close to 26 times their annual budget) and the best part is that they can’t spend it on a fire truck. That’s right, they can’t spend it on a fire truck. Swirl that thought around in your brain for a little while. I can’t even write about this any more, just go read the article and then ask yourself how these people got to be in charge of our country.
