Steve Jobs and Bill Gates on stage at once? All technical snobbery aside, I just don’t see Bill faring well up there, they are at opposite ends of the spectrum in terms of charisma and presence. Steve is all good posture and strong voice and Gates is all, umming and wild gesticulation. And with Walt Mossberg ref’ing, I wouldn’t put my money down on Bill holding his own. But who knows.
If you’ve got a little time check out nfctd.com. I have no idea what it is, but it’s certainly detailed. It isn’t precisely a game, but it takes some effort to progress, I haven’t made it to the “end” yet, if there is one, but it’s a pretty cool ride. I had to wuss out and use the tab key to speed things up, but you know.. that’s me.
And BigTantrum sold out of the red Pig onesie! On a related note, it’s the year of the Golden Fire Pig. Now the Chinese calendar has two cycles, the very well known 12 step animal cycle (you know rat, ox, tiger, rabbit, etc..) and then a meta 5 step cycle of elements (gold, wood, water, fire, earth). So, first you have gold rat, twelve years later wood rat, etc.. that’s on a 60 year cycle. But apparently there just wasn’t enough gold in that system, so somewhere in there a 600 year cycle got thrown in on top of that that made it a Golden Fire Pig! As far as I can tell, the connected pipes don’t know anything about this magic extra-gold cycle other than that it exists and is a 600 year one. Is this more desirable than a Golden Dragon?
