Deth P. SunIt’s monday, so there’s art.

Well, I’m excited to see Paprika, an upcoming movie by Satoshi Kon. I haven’t seen any of his other work, not Paranoia Agents, nor Tokyo Godfathers, nor anything. But this one looks pretty amazing and he was interviewed in the issue 46 of Giant Robot. His first words are this:

A lot goes on in Paprika, and if you overanalyze it, you’ll miss out on the enjoyment. You should experience it like a good meal. Paprika as an ingredient is sweet but spicy. I hope audiences have a delicious time.

Don’t you want to see it? You’ll have a delicious time!

Next up are a bunch of pro PC, Mac PC ads. The Girl one is funny and the Work one, too. The bottom two don’t do anything for me. I just like in Girl when he says, “Oh, some really cool stuff. I’m working on my video for my ultimate team.”. Good times. If this had been around when I was a younger person, I would totally have been working on videos for my ultimate team.

Lastly we find out how creatively bankrupt ABC really is. Yup, they’re making a new series! Based on the caveman Geico commercials. Yeah.. some executive more higher paid than you or I will ever be was watching tv one day and forgot to hit fast forward on the tivo and saw himself a commercial, a car insurance commercial. Had himself a good laugh and said, “Hey, you know what? We should make that into a series, that sh** is funny!” And three stars are born. I’m so annoyed I can’t take it.

It appears some other people can’t take it either.
