YouTube removes content, Turkey lifts ban
So, YouTube removed the offensive content and Turkey lifted the ban. I don’t know if this was “right” or not from any moral standpoint, my gut says it probably isn’t but that’s a completely kneejerk opinion. What surprises me, though, is that anyone at all was surprised at this move. I knew it was going to happen if they gave YouTube the chance to remove the content. Google has had no problem self-censoring itself in the past, and YouTube has been taking down content for awhile. How was anyone caught off guard?
