Breakfast Links: Free Starbucks, Scented Cops and Monsters
Well all 3 loyal readers of this blog will be well rewarded and will be in the know that Starbucks is giving away a free cup of coffee between 10am and noon today. Go forth and be caffeinated. Free.
Then we have this report about how police in India’s state, Gujarat, are getting flower and citrus scented uniforms. Can you imagine what would happen in NYC if Bloomberg decided to do this? I really can’t. This article is short and awesome and here’s my favourite parts… “Most policemen look hassled, drenched in sweat after coming from any scene of crime. They are surely not the best person one would like to meet, but if they smell good and fresh one might as well approach them,” Indeed, one may as well..
Or the fact that the uniforms use “fiber optic technology to make sure the uniform not only smells good but glows at night so officials can be located easily.” That’s actually cool, they’ve got fiber optics so the cops glow! But here’s a quote from a cop, “If the new uniforms makes us stand out in the crowd, keeps us active with pleasant aroma and is yet very formal, then we are all for it.” This is a super multifunctional uniform.
And I’ll stop with a last little flash game to occupy your time. Flash Circle TD has you building towers in a little maze that shoot monsters. Once I figured out how to play it was pretty addictive, I suspect because it doesn’t seem overly difficult. I’m not really sure how you lose, but it’s pretty fun, chiggity check it out if you’re that sort of person. The sort of person who likes building towers to shoot down monsters.

Wouldn’t the whole glowing thing make them easier targets at night too if things go wrong?
