Nah, I’m not really into pokemon

from xkcd.com
I tried really hard not to post this, but I have finally given up. I love this cartoon, maybe more than the kitty one. It also reminds me of a strip I had on my cubicle wall back in the mid/late 90’s (I think swain gave it to me) - the punchline was the bearded unix guy telling the win 95 guy, “Here’s a nickel, kid. Go get yourself a real operating system.” But the interwebs failed me and I couldn’t find it.
UPDATE: All praise and thanks to Joe who found that very comic and posted the link in the comments. Here it is (sorry had to shrink it to fit, but you can click it to see the original):

[...] Our expert at the connected series of pipes, Howard, read yesterday’s post and took up the challenge. I had thought it was a Dilbert strip but misremembered the hook. [...]

BTW “Here’s a nickel, kid. Go get yourself a real operating system.†is from Dilbert. And I found it - http://static.flickr.com/87/240803829_9212773615_o.png

I am a big fan of XKCD, and loved this strip. I think you might appreciate this - I got to USE the phrase today! I was in a meeting with some consultants, and while bashing Vista one of them actually said “Have you tried Ubuntu?”. I promptly replied I wasn’t really into Pokemon, and got a stunned silence for about 2 minutes. The highlight of my day…
Cheers.

Seriously, I wish I could have witnessed that. I’m witnessing it in my mind right now, and it’s pretty damn funny. How does a consultant recover from such a thing?? :)
