Breakfast Links: Saving the World, Growf and the biggest Embassy evar

monday is good for you. so is art.
So it’ll be a heavy start this monday morning. This new device for New Yorkers tells you when peak power is happening so that you can reduce your usage (energy prices change hourly). Busting that out can help you save ducats and save the world. Or you could replace one of your incandescent light bulbs with a CFL (compact flourescent) bulb, which will reduce annual emissions a lot (if everyone replaces one…) Or you could sit on your ass and wait for Stargate Universe to save the world for you.
I know the D&D has been flying fast and furious these days, I’m not really sure why, but it seems that D&D is in the zeitgeist or the water or something. But if you’re old skool like me, you’ll remember the Phil & Dixie comics in Dragon magazine, well Phil Foglio’s putting them up on the interwebs. Go and relive those magic moments.
Lastly, it seems kind of unbelievable but the US is building the biggest embassy on the planet, wait for it… in Iraq. It covers an area larger than Vatican City and the architects are bragging that it will be visible from space. It’s just… unbelievable.
