McCain’s MySpace Page Hacked
Just read that John McCain’s MySpace page was “hacked” (via techcrunch). Apparently they used a free template w/out grabbing the images and putting them on their own server - so the designer of the template was footing the bill for the images served off the site. Classy. So, to get their attention, he updated a nav image so that it became a note suggesting a rather abrupt change in McCain’s policy on gay marriage. The images are down already, but you gotta admire a ballsy move like that. I can’t think of any reason why it would be illegal, but he’s with the government, they get to do whatever they want. Check out the link, it’s a pretty good hack (in the good sense of the word).
UPDATE: What I like is that if you go to McCain’s page now, the space where that hack was is now just blank, not even collapsed, the links are still there just are blank.
