CS3
So awhile ago there was a lot of crap about all the new CS3 icons being all boxy. As though a feather and an orange flower are so easy to use, I’ll bet you a whole lotta money that if you showed people the feather icon and the flower and then the same people the Ps button and Ai and asked them in both cases to pick which one was Photoshop, guess how many would guess the feather (is it the feather?)? Right about 50%. Guess how many would pick Ps? Yeah, like 100%. Anyhow, that’s not the point of this post, that was just a stifled rant from when that happened so long ago in my pre-blogging days.
But Adobe just released their whole product line. And you need a chart and at least a 2 year associates degree to figure out what you want. Didn’t Vista just have this problem? Didn’t Apple go through that awkward phase some years ago with a crazy product line? It doesn’t work, it confuses the hell out of people. And then, Adobe is a brand, but now apparently CS3 is a brand too? Except it’s also a version number, well no, not a version number because it isn’t a number, but you know.
And then in that chart, they have the bundles across the top right? And the applications down the side? But is photoshop a bundle or an application? Why is there a standard and extended edition? Sigh. I mean, everyone’s stlil going to buy it and upgrade their macs which is great. Nevertheless, I think this whole thing is a tad wacko. Simple is better guys.

Regarding the Adobe chart, all you need to look at is the one with the most dots. That’s the one to look for in BitTorrent. ;-p

That’s the funniest and best thing I’ve heard all day. Thanks! :)
