Well, there’s two little bits of muppet craziness that have come across my desk today and they both have to do with movies, but not the Muppet Movie itself, as you might have surmised. Nor do they have to do with the Dark Crystal, which the nerdier amongst you might have jumped to upon having the Muppet Movie dragged out from underneath. No, these two bits have to do with other movies entirely.

The first, care of YouVert, is a muppety recreation of Do The Right Thing. People have taken the time to make a little set and bust out their muppet toys and film a 4.5 minute video. Unfortunately for you perverts out there, there’s no ice scene (I know that’s what you were wondering, you disgust me). But there’s many other scenes, and the whole thing is pretty awesome.

The next bit o’ muppet love is actually a window display at some canadian comic store, apparently called the Silver Snail. Not the best name I’ve come across, but who knows. In the meantime, the time they might have spent pondering a better name they actually spent recreating the Battle of Helms Deep from The Lord of the Rings out of toys, with the muppets as the key figures! Now that’s musta been a labor of love. You rarely get to see dead and bloodied muppets, but not in Canada, there they’ve got a first rate display. Check it out!
