You, my precious reader, may be surprised to hear that Nunatak far from being the Church’s militant nun wing is actually the house band of the Rothera Research Station in Antarctica. I recently shared a cab with a lady who worked for several years in the station and it seems like a pretty stange kind of place especially because apparently not much happens during the winter, but it remains staffed by a skeletal crew of 1000ish. But anyways, Gore seems to have invited them to play (via satellite) at Live Earth, which is pretty cool. I want to hear what they play (strangely, no videos on the YouWeb). They’ll even be playing outside if the weather’s nice, you know maybe -10°C. plus or minus. Bad ass.

Then check it, several young animals decided to test their boundaries recently and AMNY is reporting on it! The first, and best, is the little lamb that (seems to have) escaped from a Bronx auction. She wandered around, a little lost, as you might expect till she was found and rescued. And for her efforts, she’s won a lifetime of bliss at the always accepting Farm Sanctuary (Deasil approved!). Then not one but two birds, a hawk and a falcon (presumably a red-tailed hawk and peregrine falcon, as that seems to be what we’ve got here) didn’t quite make it on their maiden flight - they’re being nursed back to health, fortunately. Ah, those crazy kids!

And lastly we have Vector Tower Defence. Oh, if only I didn’t have this crushing mountain of work, I would be so addicted (not that I still don’t love you Quadradius and Tactics 100). It seems a little more complexier than previous games with all kinds of different colors and stuff, but it’s lookin’ cool. What I love about it is that the developers have stopped their work and are having a go at developing these flash games full time. I’m totally into that! Check out their blog, Novel Concepts.
