John 6:27

Honestly, I’m not really sure why I’m so excited for this movie. I didn’t like the second and didn’t even see the third, I don’t know why my brain is telling me that this fourth installment is going to buck the trend. If experience were the guide, I’d probably be a little annoyed. Instead, I find myself psyched, I think I can really only attribute it to the brain washing effects of that damn advertisement. I am a marketer’s wet dream because that nonsense totally works on me. Sigh.
Anyhow, we watched Die Hard last night to remember the glory and prepare for the new one. I mean, really, it’s not possible that the fourth, not having Alan Rickman in it, could even approach the goodness of the original. Oh well, I’ll donate my $20 to the Bruce Willis society. For those of you who don’t have the time or inclination to rewatch the first one, I’ve been sitting on this video (care of youvert) that gives you a 6 minute, silent movie version of Die Hard. It’s quite great. Yippee Ki Yay, indeed.
Hrm.. now I want to see Closet Land again, too.

You know I liked him from the ol’ Ed days, but I can take him or leave him in his post Ed days. Closet Land, on the other hand, was the magnabomb. The giganobomb. Haven’t seen it since prolly sometime in college, longer ago than I care to remember. Or can remember, for that matter.
