iPhone plan pricing
Well I guess Apple and AT&T have let the cat out of the bag - and damn, it’s a nice cat. TUAW reports that all plans come with unlimited data, visual voicemail, 200 text messages and rollover minutes.
· $59.99 for 450 minutes
· $79.99 for 900 minutes
· $99.99 for 1,350 minutes
That seems good to me. T-mobile charges me $40 for my 600 minutes and another $30 for unlimited data. I don’t get many text messages. I barely use my minutes, so that 450 plan w/ rollover sounds pretty great to me.
Even more than that once you have your iPhone, you can activate it yourself using iTunes. Dude! How awesome is Apple?
Oh, did I mention that today is iPhone day here on the blog?

iphone day, eh? if you havent seen this: http://roughlydrafted.com/RD/RDM.Tech.Q2.07/34C8BD5D-E210-4A62-BE6F-FD21E046A397.html
its a pretty interesting article on who hates the iphone and why. It bashes the iphone detractors for complaining about what the iphone is not. fun read.

Yeah I was pleasantly surprised when I read the pricings today. Pretty comparable to what I’m already paying now for T-Mobile’s family plan plus data. Unfortunately this may just mean more people to compete with for an iPhone on the first day. ;-p

Thanks for the pointer to that roughly drafted piece, twas a good ‘un! There’s a lot of hysteria around the launch, true, but the detractors seem (if possible) even more delusional. At least most of the hype-ers are grounded in what they’ve seen in videos and what not, a lot of the detractors are making pronouncements as though they’ve spent a bunch of quality time with it. Eh.
As for the pricing, yeah, it beats my t-mob. Sigh. We’ll see if I end up getting one.

here is the main problem:
200 messages?
Howie bangs those out by 11am on 4th while on the crapper. Where is my unlimited data incl. messaging?
