Sigh. iPhone.
Ok, it’s the big day, what can I do? This’ll be quick roundup.
First, this is actually really funny - Steven Levy (he wrote the newsweek iPhone review) was apparently mugged for his iPhone as he was going to demo his phone to the unwashed hordes in line at the midtown Apple store. Mugged! The guy, needless to say didn’t make it to far. Hopefully someone from Fox or someone at the event got it on video. Keep your eyes on Gizmodo.
What else, TUAW posted the links to yet more li’l videos from Apple on how to use the iPhone, this one’s ten “Finger Tips”. Oh apple. So clever. They also report that iTunes 7.3 is now available - need it start up your iPhones!
Gizmodo has more posts than you can shake a stick at. I like the ones with the pictures of the lines and the videos of the line sitters. This is clearly a social phenomenon as apparently the there is no line in front of the AT&T store by me (Union Square!!) - people aren’t actually worried about getting or not getting one - if they were they’d go to where the lines were shortest. They just want the experience of sitting in a line for this big launch.
Well that’s it.. I’m in meetings all day today. And then it’ll be iPhone time. Maybe I’ll go mug someone who’s just bought theirs… hmmm…
