I supervise a group of people involved in a very complex and technical business. Most of our clients are small business owners who don't have the time or the ability to learn the complicated laws we deal with every day.

There's nothing that makes me cringe more than over-hearing one of my subordinates talk condescendingly to a client. Makes my blood boil. Those people are our bread and freakin' butter.

"It's about the SERVICE, stupid," is what I want to say, but of course, I would never be so condescending. ;-)

It's true, although, it'd be better to not be condescended to in the first place. :)

There is almost no better feeling in the tech world than being proven right after having been condescended to. It really makes my day.
