Breakfast Links: Remoteless Remotes, Concept Chairs & Roller Pigeons
A little monday art.
You know what I hate? Anything that makes me deviate from a constant reclining position on my couch. The biggest culprit? Finding that damn remote. Fortunately Aussie scientists are working to relieve my pain by creating a system that let’s me control my TV (and other devices!) with my hand! That’s totally what I’m talking about - but you know, I like to shake my fists in anger at the TV as well as air high-five my imaginary friends while I’m lounging around, I wonder if that’ll change the channel or the volume or something. It’s like when I had the clapper on some lights, while it took me a few tries to clap on/clap off, my dog had no problems turning on the light at will.
Now check out these concept chairs (via notcot) the first one is perfect for this warm weather. A couch that is also a pool! More than meets the eye! I would totally not mind that - I would like them to make an ergonomic desk chair version of that. And then check out the Pac Man chair - don’t try and deny that you want one of those. Seriously. Don’t.
Lastly, you ought to check out this video (courtesy mefi) of Birmingham Roller Pigeons. These badboys do some kind of crazy somersaulting in midair, pretty awesome. Unfortunately for them, this makes them look even more delicious than the average pigeon to hawks and falcons. Unfortunately for the hawks and falcons this offends the pigeon enthusiasts who decide to kill as many as possible. Unfortunately for the enthusiasts that turns out to be less than legal. Bad scene all around all starting with some bad ass aerobatics. Too bad. And who knew there were so many breeds of pigeons??
