If I wanted to build myself a submarine, making one based on the world’s very first combat sub probably wouldn’t have been my first pick. But these guys thought differently. Although I’ll admit that what they’re doing looks pretty cool and at least it seems like they’re having fun. It’s too bad they’ve been arrested for it.
When it comes to technology, sports, and entertainment, fanboys are pretty much a fact of life. While I certainly appreciate Apple products, I’m sure there are many, many others out there much more fervent than I. Take this guy, who received permission from his better half to buy an iPhone… but only after he agreed to a vasectomy. It’s certainly a unique deal but I don’t really see it as him giving up anything really. Personally I would have held out for something a lot more worthwhile before doing the snip-snip.
Next, I didn’t realize that Steve Job’s reality distortion field was so powerful outside of the United States. My favorite part of the article? The last sentence:
A fireman later told 3 News “he believed the man had a mental illness”.
You don’t say. I’d wager that he has a bit more than just “a” mental illness.
