Breakfast Links: Real Estate buying tips, Stolen 3 Ton Rock & Child Beater
Curbed has posted 6 things first time real estate buyers need to know. It turns out, that this second time real estate buyer didn’t know a few of the things on the list! For example I knew that square footage tended to be a haphazard affair since there were many different ways of measuring an apartment but the real square footage is the one (obviously, in retrospect) that the appraiser gives so that should be the one you get and use. If you’re looking to buy, it’s worth checking out.
In Russia it has just come to their attention that someone has stolen a three-ton meteorite from the Tunguska Space Event foundation. It’s been there since 2004 (it landed in Siberia in 1908). Here’s the question. How do you not notice someone stealing your 3 ton rock? Here’s the quote:
“It winds up that it disappeared said Lavbin. “Our colleagues are establishing what got lost, where the rock is and why they only came to us about it now,” he said.
Oh is that how it winds up. Imagine explaining that one to your boss.

That vid’s pretty awesome. Part II’s pretty funny too. Kids probably had a great time filming that thing. “Fighting is bad.” *thud* Ha!

Heh! I didn’t see the second one, it is very good. Those kids, I gotta say, are pretty resilient!
