Lust, Caution… Excitement!
So, I was browsing around on Amazon and while I was looking to see when Man Push Cart was going to come out on DVD (Oct 9, if you’re dieing to know and very well worth seeing if you haven’t already), for some reason on that page they were promoting Ang Lee’s newest film, Lust, Caution (opening Sep 28). First of all, how come nobody told me of this movie? Why did I not get the memo? Seriously guys, I’m disappointed, I don’t know what I’m paying you for.
Anyhizzle, I am always excited to hear of a new Ang Lee movie so I went and checked out the trailer on Apple. Needless to say, it looks awesome, an espionage thriller set in WWII Shanghai? Tony Leung? Looks amazing (although to be honest, I really liked the beginning of the trailer and the end less, so).
Ang Lee never stops amazing me, just look at the breadth of his work. He does not settle down into one genre and he makes whatever work he’s done really something worthwhile. Even in his failures, of which which really there is only the Hulk, I really liked what he was trying to do even if I don’t think it ultimately worked.
