Keepon, a japanese robotSpoon video featuring Keepon, the li’l yellow robot. Today boingboing points us at this Wired slideshow with some behind the scenes info on Keepon. That little guy’s so cute! And he’s hard working too, he is used in a therapeutic day care center for autistic children. And the guy in the video is is creator, Hideki Kozima.

We love Keepon, we hate nukes. Especially nukes that are accidentally flown over the US. Yup, someone made a big whoopsie! and a bunch of nuclear missiles instead of being decommissioned were attached to the pylons on a bomber’s wings and flown from North Dakota to Louisiana. Man, imagine being that guy, “Whoops! My bad guys… Seriously, my bad. I thought we were taking them out for a test flight!” Sigh, I guess this is why we worry about anyone having nukes we can’t even keep track of our own.

And if that wasn’t bad enough, you know that sweet, sweet smell of freshly popped popcorn? Well, at least the smell from freshly nuked popcorn? It turns out that it could be the cause of popcorn lung. Apparently workers at popcorn factories have gotten it but now the first report of someone at home getting it has come in. Of course this nutjob said he made 2 or 3 bags of microwave popcorn every day for 10 years and inhaled from each bag, so it may not be something you have to worry about yet. It’s a sad day.
