I look forward to art, not mondays.

So the Germans are planning this gigantic 578 meter tall Giant Pyramid (that’s almost 1900 feet in American). Twice as tall as the current Great Pyramid but instead of housing, more or less, one dead guy they’re going to house lots of dead people - anyone ready to cough up €700 gets one of the stones it is built with. Creepily, if I understand it correctly, the pyramid will be built up by stones with people’s ashes in them, so as it gets built it’s also a counting tally of deaths. Check it:

Even if only a small percentage of all current and future living decide on a Great Pyramid stone, the monument will outsize the Giza Pyramids very soon.

Creepy.

Less creepy is this list of the 100 Best TV Shows of All-TIME. Get it? It’s put out by TIME magazine? Eh? Eh? Pretty ambitious, it’s got it’s list alphabetized and each show has a video clip. Ambitious! You know like any of these lists there’s bound to be controversy and what not, but I’m happy to see that some greats like Battlstar Galactica, Buffy, Freaks and Geeks and The Prisoner made the grade. It’s a monumental effort, at least that is for sure. Just noticed that on the Freaks and Geeks link he makes the D&D ref saying the show “rolled its duodecahedron die and hit 20 every time”, I’m sure you all just had a good chuckle at that, obviously we all realize that the dodecahedron is a 12-sided die, not 20! LULZ! Wait, what? I’m the only one? heheh, shut up. Anyway, I appreciate the thought.

It’s been awhile since I gave you guys a way to waste your days, so check out this flash game, Toxic. It’s pretty simple, really, you move your guy and lay some bombs. You get fancier bombs as you go along, although annoyingly you can’t seem to control which bombs you want to use, you just use the most recent ones you’ve gotten till they run out. Anyhoo, it’s fun laying bombs, or at least it’s fun saying you’re going to lay a bomb.

BONUS LINK: This story’s been going around the nets so I thought I’d post it, about how NY’s tech sector could be twice as big as Silicon Valley’s. Not surprising, but I think the difference is that the tradition of tech entrepreneurship here is much less developed than out there. But hopefully that’ll change to some extent.
