Iron Man Trailer
See also my review of Iron Man.
Well, I’ve kind been waffling about whether I was going to be excited for the Iron Man movie or not and whether or not I liked Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark. Fortunately the trailer is out now and the waffling is over (via scifichick). I’m medium excited on both accounts. Trailer looks good - interesting that it starts with old grey Iron Man and still gets to shiny, shiny red and gold Iron Man. And Downey plays a pretty good alchoholic although I never thought of Stark as the witty one, but to be honest, I never read much Iron Man. So I don’t know how faithful it is, but I likes it.
Strangely, I couldn’t get to the end of the trailer on any of the options except the smallest, all the others kinda stalled somewhere before the end. Sigh. Check out the trailer - dig that metal/nu-metal sound track.

I don’t remember him being such a wise-ass either but it’s been awhile. Looking forward to it but that opening plot seemed kinda lame.
And I got to the end of the trailer in large mode. Sucka! ;-p

Yeah, I mean, it looks like a bit of a stretch “Now you will make us a bomb! We will lock you in a room with another mad scientist with enough tools to make a bomb and not check up on you for a week! Then we will have a bomb!” But you know… then he’s Iron Man. :)

Looks to me like the Stark he’s playing is the Ultimates version of Tony Stark. He was way more of a wise-ass than the “regular” Iron Man and a perfect fit for Robert Downey, Jr.
And please don’t tell me I’m the only person old enough to recognize Black Sabbath in the “metal/nu-metal sound track”….?

Hey! Yeah, I recognized the song but I couldn’t place it! (that was the metal part of the metal/nu-metal soundtrack - I don’t even know if nu-metal is the right genre, I’m bad at my metals - Howard or Poyla might take me to task over that). Thanks for the pointer.
Haven’t been keeping up with Ultimates Iron-Man - I guess then that roles consistent with the comics!
