So there’s the new show being produced by Cartoon Network - Transformers: Animated. Kind of a dumb name and when I say “kind of” I mean, really dumb. I guess someone in Atlanta thought it was clever. There’s the trailer for it that looks ok, I appreciate that they are sticking with the original song (updated of course, although not a particularly inspired update) and the animation looks ok - it’s that neo-anime style you see on a lot of the Cartoon Network shows like Teen Titans, although I don’t particularly like it for the Transformers. Now there’s also the toys for it, some of them look ok. Overall? A big meh.

For your daily dose of crazy, this NYC school sent around a memo saying “No Deans are permitted to call 911 for any reason.” Unfortunately for one studen, Mariya Fatima, who suffered a stroke a couple weeks afterwards it made them wait an hour before calling 911. Turns out when you have a stroke it’s good to get immediate medical attention and the effects of her stroke were most likely made much worse. Nice. Way to go. Read that story for all the crazy details.

Well it’s been percolating around the webs, the new Indiana Jones movie is officially called “Indiana Jones: Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.” If you’re wondering what a crystal skull is wikipedia knows. But please do not confuse it with a diamond skull. At any rate, I’m pretty not excited for this one, although it seems I am alone in that. I guess we’ll see if Shia can pull it off.
