Breakfast Links: Doggy Darth Vader, 39MP Hasselblad & Suing God

First of all, understand that if you’re a certain type of dog owner (you know, the kind that owns a dog) there’s a joy in finding a great costume for the dog to wear. Second, understand that if you’re a certain type of science fiction lover (you know, the kind that loves science fiction) you can not get enough Star Wars. So, for those folks out there that are both, this Darth Vader dog costume is the bombbbbb. Except for the helmet which I sorta have no idea what’s going on with it - it’s perfect. Look at the fake arms with the little mitts at the bottom. Go forth and dress your dogs this halloween. (via)

Now, if you were dressing your dog in that outfit, you’d need to take photos of him (and send them to me) - what better to take those pictures with than Hasselblad’s new 39 megapixel medium format camera?? That’s right the new H3D II DSLR keeps the 39mp’s they had last year, but adds some bad ass features the one I most dig on is the Global Image Locator that automatically geotags your photos. How much do I want in camera gps? Lots, but I guess not $37k much. I was surprised to read that since I always thought of medium formats as more of studio shooting cameras as opposed to go everywhere ones. But I guess I was wrong!

And why can’t I easily afford such a camera (and a sherpa to carry it around for me when I travel?) because I don’t have enough money. And who do I blame for not having enough money? That’s right. God. I’m so mad right now that I don’t have a spare $37k that I might try and sue god just like State Senator Ernie Chambers! The senator from Nebraska has filed suit against god:

Chambers says in his lawsuit that God has made terrorist threats against the senator and his constituents, inspired fear and caused â€œwidespread death, destruction and terrorization of millions upon millions of the Earthâ€™s inhabitants.â€

Heh! He’s making some point with this suit about frivolous lawsuits or something, there’s some other trial in that piece.. I’m not really sure what’s going on. But it’s still funny.
