I love how whenever they come up with a way to sneak in more ads it's dubbed "controversial". Thats not controversial, thats ad people doing what ad people do. Of course they want ads on your desktop. They would have ads branded onto you with chemicals if they could. The good news is there is always a bunch of smart annoyed folks who come up with countermeasures. (I believe Firefox was one such product. ) And as far as the new ads coming out, the ones with far more annoying features like loud roll over sounds or a half transparent display that pops up over the movie your watching..... when these reach a point of overkill, people will start coming out with mirror pages without ads and code that blocks ads and dragons that eat them. People have far more tolerance for creating and posting illeagal things if they are spurred on by greedy annoying corporations invading their space to begin with. My money goes to an ad eating dragon. yum.
