Breakfast Links: Minotaur v. Centaur, Secret Storage & Junk Mail Stoppers?
Well you’ve always wondered and now you’ll know who the celebrities think will win in a match between a Minotaur and a Centaur! (via neil’s blog) Predictably everyone, including Neil Gaiman goes for the Centaur (he gets a crossbow) - but I think that Clive Barker hits the nail on the head going with the Minotaur. That guy knows. Y’know? Also, it seems that the ladies have no idea what to do with this question.
I found SecretStorageBooks as I was perusing Schneier’s blog. It’s a site that is dedicated to selling you real books that have been hollowed out so you can hide things in them. How great is that? They have all kinds of books that’ll fit seamlessly into your bookshelves. I want all my books to be hollow. But the best part of it is when Bruce says “I made my own as a kid.” Of course he did! While I was busying burning crap in my backyard, he was already figuring out stuff. I guess that’s why he has his own facts database and I … don’t.
Lastly, I came across ProQuo somewhere and they promise to end junk mail for me. I have been deluged with junk mail of late (how much capital one mail can I get every single day??) and if this stems the tide, I will be forever grateful. Some stuff they handle for you, others they tell you how to do yourself (they aren’t allowed). And they say that the effects will be noticeable after around 4 weeks. I am counting down the days.

All my books in college were secret storage books.
