iPhone refund: the final chapter
It’s all coming back to me, baby. After however long, I almost forgot that I had an open ticket with American Express’ Return Protection Program (or whatever you get when you call this number 800-297-8019). I just called yesterday afternoon and coincidence of coincidences they just approved the claim and my account should be credited with $200 in the next day or so! (that’s $100 for each of 2 phones). So between that and the $100 store credit from Apple, my phones cost only $400 like the rest o’ you late adopters. :)
Nice! Already used my $200 credit from Apple to buy me a Leopard family pack. Sure it got here a day late, but a quick SuperDuper and update later and Leopard’s the word. I know all the cool kids say install clean, but dammit, I just did all my app migration onto this iMac and I’m not keen to do it again. So upgrade it was and only a couple minor hiccups along the way. I’ll have some more thoughts on Leopard soon.
