Felix, thanks for your comments and feedback, yes OPM pricing is based on the amount of active users you need to access your projects online at any time. You can have an unlimited amount of users registered to use your OPM Creator system but only the number of users you pay for active at any one time, you can activate and deactivate users whenever you need. You can also create unlimited projects. Most of our clients use OPM internally but also invite their clients into thier own projects. This gives the client confidence in the project and they enjoy the fact that they can login and view thier project details and progress at any time. Once the project is complete the clients details can be deactivated freeing up the user space for the next client. Thanks once again for taking a look, we value your feedback.

By the way we also offer a free 30-day trial of OPM here http://www.opmcreator.com/free1.asp

Duncan, thanks for the pointer. I took a look at the site and the feature set looks compelling, but because of the way I use these tools the pricing model makes it a non-starter for me. Since I use these to coordinate with a variety of clients - I need to be able to hand out logins to any PM system I use like candy and OPM pricing is user based. This is probably a desirable model for companies that use this internally - but for me it just won't work...

Yes, great article.

Please also check out OPM Creator for simple web based project management. We purposely missed out the annoying features no-one ever uses. We too would welcome your feedback on this product.

Scott, I took a quick look at mercurygrove - very interesting. I'm going to have to give it a run through when I get a chance. Thanks for the tip!

Great article.

You should check out Mercury Grove's Web Groups as a way to go beyond project management and provide a platform for a more complete customer communication.

I'd love to get your feedback on this product for a virtual office.
