That's funny, I think that that Nova documentary was, more or less, what inspired that Salon piece! I really want to see it, I'll have to look for the next time as I'm a tivoless luddite.

And no worries about the ranting. A) that's what the internet is for and B) I totally agree with you. :)

AND ANOTHER THING! Sorry to rant, but if they would look at the reality of the situation, the fact that evolution and natural selection take so long but are so successful they would see the real intelligent design. Maybe there IS a blueprint but it's on the microbial level. I'm an agnostic and I have no problem considering that. Now wouldn't that be truly more amazing? So much more amazing then *poof* theres a bird. *poof* theres a cow. Not only are they missing THE point, but they may be missing their point.

I just saw an episode of Nova last night called "Intelligent Design on Trial". Everyone with an IQ over 40 knows that Intelligent Design is not only Bullshit but a very poorly hidden agenda by the hardcore Christians to make everyone a hardcore Christian. . . Apparently lying to them and making them, literally, dumber is of no consequence. Anyway. I have never seen Intelligent Design chewed up and spit out so matter of fact-ly. It was a beautiful thing. Try to catch it on a rerun if you can. If any Intelligent Design moron tries to argue with you they will most likely use one argument. Why believe Darwinism is it is just a theory? What they fail to understand is that scientific theory's are not ideas, they are thousands of ideas that have been put together with rigorous testing and constant facts to back it up, some not even in that field. Ask them if they have a problem with the theory of gravity. Funny, they have such a problem with coming from apes and you hear that argument form them all the time. "I didn't come from no ape". It's that ignorant yet pompous attitude that kills me. that's your beef? That you don't want to have come from an ape? You know what they are basically saying is they think blacks are monkeys and they don't want to have anything in common with blacks. Idiots. 23 chromosomes people, we all got em.
