Breakfast Links: Mad Shopping, Exoskeleton & Underground Temple

Uncyber Art on a too Cyber Monday.
Well, today’s the day. CyberMonday. Man that name is so ridiculous. Remember when Cyber was the in word? Like in the mid-90’s? When the NYTimes named that section CyberTimes? Cheeesaaay. Anyhow, today is the day you can find all them online deals (deals on comics, por ejemplo - or get 20% off from a ton of merchants when you pay via paypal) and not have to worry about the madness of Black Friday. Seriously, I was coming home on Thursday around about midnight and there was a line around the block to get into Circuit City and it was freezing. Check out this video for a little taste of the madness. That dude at the end of the clip is way to psyched.
If you were wondering, and I know you were, what to get me for the holidays, this’uns and obvious one. A crazy exoskeleton that gives you super strength, although not, apparently, super jumping and running abilities. Sure you only get a little hook on each hand instead of a gigantic canon, ironically named mini-gun or even crushing strength, I still want it. The video is crazy, talking about how they’re going to build fully enclosed suits that when the soldier is in it works Warhammer 40K style and when they step out it becomes their own robot butler. You know it’s going to happen that when the robots go insane and rise up there will be people trapped inside…
And then there was the underground temple. Secretly carved out of solid rock, 100 feet below the surface the Temple of Damanhur is somehow not in worship of Cthulhu, just some dude who named himself after an 80’s rock prodigy… or vice versa?? Still this thing is quite nutty - all told 300,000 cubic feet of space carved into 9 themed temples. I want to go see it. That would also be a good gift for me - flight to Italy. Write that one down.
