If you like seeing old photos skarabej is for you. If you don’t like that, well… maybe you should reconsider your priorities in life, come on, those old photos you find in flea markets and garage sales? Cool! Skarabej is kinda like the Trachtenburg Family Slideshow Players just without the players and the snark… skarabej should be down with the twodotoh and get some ratings up in there.

On the other hand there are some ill effects to all this user generated content action. It turns out that people really do believe everything they see on the internets. Some university students did a study and found that there were many youtubes that were about childhood vaccination - the ones that portrayed it negatively got more views and better ratings than the positive ones. And they were all filled with all sorts of incorrect and and contradictory information. Just because someone can afford a $5 webcam doesn’t make them an expert. Unlike me, who can afford this free hosting and free software to post this blog, which obviously qualifies me as an expert at all things.

For example, I am an expert at casual online flash gaming. My credentials? I like a few of them. That’s right. Several. Anyhoo, now you can checkout a new online social networking site that aims to combine casual gaming with … friends. Casual Collective is the child of the makers of two popular flash games and brings up some games that let you play multiplayer style - all in the matrix! It looks pretty fun - right now they have four games and I played a little Desktop Armada which was surprisingly awesome even though I didn’t really know what I was doing and lost almost immediately. So if you like your social weave and your flash games, this may be the site for you.
