Getting EvenSo, this is kinda completely awesome. Some guy was building his house - sadly for him a) he built his house 18 inches taller than he was allowed and b) his house was in the view of a city councilman. Outcome? He had to drop his roof 18 inches at his own expense. Now granted, breaking the rules is breaking the rules, but still… 18 inches? Who even notices that? Happily for the internet, he seems to have gotten even by putting up this creative shutter arrangement right in line of said councilman. That’s totally what I’m talking about. Click through for some more pictures of the councilman’s view.

Turns out the internet is also good at pumping out a lot of mediocre fiction! Enter Protagonize. It’s the new choose your own adventure/social networking site - everyone gets a chance to branch all these stories - it’s strangely compelling. If you fancy yourself an armchair novelist, this could be your big break! Or not. Anyhow, Protagonize is an awesome name for a site. Thank god it was fictn, or choose-your-own-adventr. Right?

Summer GlauAnd on to summer, no not summer, Summer… Summer Glau! I know you were thinking I was going to talk about the crazy, global warming summer (is that the new Indian Summer? Can I say Indian Summer?) we’re having here in NYC, but no. I’m talking Sarah Connor Chronicles. Summer got all down with the podcast interview last night - here’s here’s a link that might work and here’s one straight to iTunes. There’s some kinda weird intro section… she gets on around 23 minutes in. (via)

UPDATE: On second thought.. fictn.com is an AWESOME domain. :)
