Breakfast Links: Delicious Minas Tirath, Rules of Thumb & No Pants 2k8

Huh. It turns out that people on the internet have a lot of spare time, especially during the holidays. This fellow has used that time wisely and along with family and friends built a model of Minas Tirath (during the Battle of Pelennor Fields) out of candy! It’s pretty badass, well as badass as a candy construction gets, I suppose… but still. And it kinda makes me a little hungry. Anyhiz, there’s lots o’ pictures of this in his post. Here’s a rule of thumb, building something geeky and incredibly time consuming will garner you fame on the internet. I just made that one up… fortunately there’s now a site RulesOfThumb.org where you can submit and vote on user input rules, digg style. Such beauties as:

And then there was No Pants 2k8. Improv Everywhere’s hosting it’s annual No Pants on the subway schtick this saturday (January 12) - where they’ll all get on a train and then take off their pants. Good times. And remember:
