First off, I love my iPhone. Really, it’s probably the single greatest gadget I’ve owned, replacing the previous single greatest gadget I’d owned - my Treo 650. Having said that… I generally agree with Mr Lynch here:

Some movies just need to be seen on a big screen with, sometimes even more importantly, big sound. I like seeing movies in the theaters, I prefer it to watching at home and while I would watch some stuff on the iPhone, if it was something I cared about, I’d almost certainly watch it again on a big TV to get the real effect.

Conveniently, here’s an example (thanks chris!):

Chocolate by Prachya Pinkaew the director of Ong Bak - which you may recognize as one of my favourite action movies. While this one doesn’t feature Tony Jaa, it does feature a lady (Nicharee “Jeeja” Vismistananda) kicking much, much ass. It seems like this lady - y’know child prodigy like and all gets a little too hyped up on her M&M’s. Hyped up enough to open up several cans of whoopass all over everyone. While she doesn’t seem to have the crazy athleticism of Jaa, she does do a mean Bruce Lee impression…

Seriously, imagine watching that on an iPhone? Please.
