As long as I’ve been alive I’ve wanted to be able to put gps information into the pictures I’ve been taking. Ok, maybe not quite that long, but it feels like that long, capisci? Anyhow, so I’ve been patiently waiting, like some kind of GPS wanting zen monk, for digital cameras to get in on this and just add that info into the picture. Turns out something even better’s transpired, ATP just announced a new little device that accepts your flash card and assuming that you have sync’d the clock with your camera’s goes through and tags them all with the 411. That’s way more better than having to pay for GPS with every new camera you buy, savvy? And if you can download the full GPS information so you can see the path you took, that’d be even more better, no? I’m totally into it.

I am also totally into webcams. Now I’ve talked about animal webcams before, but opentopia has gone and used the magic of search engines to discover tons and tons of open webcams around the net and consolidated them for your voyeuristic pleasure. Now you can watch tons of service centers and miscellaneous outdoor cams from all over the world. It’s strangely, or perhaps not so strangely, awesome. And because it’s divided by country, there’s never a time where there’s not someone you can’t be watching.

And then, to totally rain on my parade this morning there’s Word Sandwich. This “game” if you want to go there, involves entering 5 letter “words” trying to guess the one it “picked.” It’s a hot/cold type of game which works by floating the words you guess higher or lower based on their alphabetical relation to the chosen word. Some super folk seem to have avg’s of guessing this thing in 6 or 7 words. I, on the other hand, give up after 10 or 12. *weeps* It’d probably be fun if I wasn’t such an unlettered moron.
