Doing nothing on the web
Sometimes you just need to take a minute or two and not do anything. Y’know? Sometimes you need to take a few weeks and not do anything, but y’know, sometimes it’s just a minute.
I’ve been coming across some videos of people doing just that. This is the first one I came across, I feel like this video kinda all the time. It’s probably a problem. But the video’s great anyway, you should have a looksee.
More recently I’ve become aware of a new youtube star, not strangely it’s a japanese girl. Youtube stardom is like falling out of the bed for these ladies, but her claim to fame is looking into the camera. She’s posted, by my last rough count, about a billion videos of her in various rooms looking at the camera. Sometimes looking away from the camera.
There’s something lonelygirl-esque about this phenomenon. Whatev. You know.. just doing nothing. That’s the new doing something.

Seriously! Too young for the F-me eyes shes trying to flaunt. She probably doesn’t even know 100% of what shes doing. I bet her expression changes when she catches some weird dude hiding in her bushes outside her room. Sam? …. is that YOU?!

I’m not sure why but I just crack the hell up watching her.

Seen a different clip of same girl. She’s a weeaboo; she’s NOT Japanese.

Years ago I saw in a British magazine that you can order this DVD from a French artist, I think, who recorded a woman in BxW doing something like this. You just pop in the DVD and there’s a woman looking at you for a few hours or reading a book while lying in bed or something. Apparently it wasn’t really intended to be watched like this YouTube video, but more to have playing in the background as you go about your everyday business at home.

Howard, I just call’em like I see’em. Never met a weeaboo that wobbled and did fall down.
Mista F, did you get the DVD?? Although I think it might ultimately creep me out to have an image of someone looking out from my tv for hours!

Felix, I didn’t. But I was intrigued enough to look up the URL posted; alas, the product wasn’t on the site so who knows if I would have bought it or not. I must say, though, that there was something bizarrely intriguing about it. If I did get it, I can’t imagine I’d have that playing all day all the time, though; it’d be more like checking out someone’s video art project. But it certainly beats those cheesy videos of a roaring fireplace (no, I don’t have that, either.)

Oh, video of the fireplace… Now I know what to get you for your birthday… ;)
