Madness? These. Are. APPLES!
It does not, in general, take a lot for me to like stop motion videos. There’s something about all that effort to make something that really works for me. But when that effort goes to recreating 300… well, that really gets my attention.
I mean how did they do it so that the apple didn’t brown?? That’s movie magic right there! And the big first fight scene against the massed Persians push them back with their shields? Just as good with apples. And the credits at the end. It all just comes together. Thanks to YouVert for digging this one up.

Saw this yesterday on Dumpalink and the first thing that ran through my mind was man, there are children starving in China and we are making movies out of apples. Then I thought are they really still starving in China? Don’t they own Wal-Mart? Then I thought about Chinese food and how so few foods they make have apples in it. Maybe they don’t like apples and don’t want them anyway. Then I fell asleep and dreamed of the apple army fighting the citrus brigade and how entire families would be peeled and pitted against each other. I think even in my dream the pun was intended.

there are still children starving in china. i mean, they have plenty to eat… but its all chinese food, so like half an hour later….
