Arcade Fire - Black Mirror
Have you already seen this? I guess you could call it a video for Arcade Fire’s Black Mirror? I’m not a real big Arcade Fire fan, which I guess is wierd since I seem to be working through an indie rock phase… but anyway, this could be old news. Anyhiz, here’s the thing - this video (direct by Olivier Groulx and Tracy Maurice) let’s you turn on and off various tracks of the song. Using your keyboard you can modify how the song sounds and it is remarkable how different some of them make the song. S’pretty sweet - an interesting idea and a novel way to get people to come check out your song rather than good ol’ youtube.
I think it sounds pretty good taking out those driving drums on #2, which is odd, because I love drums. Huh.
