Breakfast Links: Modular Edition
Ok, I’m still not feeling well, but better… so here’s a brief one for yas.
First check out the Modu. This is pretty sweet - a tiny little guy with some baseline functionality that you plug into “jackets” to provide increased functionality. Sort of like a jacked up flash card that you plug into a dumb phone jacket for phone functionality or a PMP for video functionality. Watch the video it’s cool. I had a similar idea (or was it Scott’s?) years ago - that had the main device actually being a chunky little guy with a good bit of horse power, it would connect to its peripherals via Wi-Fi or bluetooth for it’s interface. Shrug, maybe this one makes more sense, though.
And then for you folks that tend to move a lot, check out, Casulo, the apartment-furniture-in-a-box. It’s got a desk, drawers, armoire, shelves, boxes/stools and a bed, conveniently packable into a lil box. Check out the video of this thing being put together - pretty amazing. Looks like it doesn’t quite exist yet, but they’re looking for someone to produce it. I could see Ikea digging this thing.
