Celebrate good times. Come on! I thought that my WiMax dreams were dead. Dead, dead, dead. Happily, it seems that Clearwire and Sprint have gotten back together thanks to some timely matchmaking by Intel (oh and by matchmaking I mean, $2 billion). It seems like this is potentially a win for everyone, since it let’s Sprint move on with it’s hopefully company saving 4G efforts, helps save Intel’s work with WiMax (since AT&T & Verizon now back LTE) and save Clearwire in general. Good times. Just hurry up and get with the NYC rollout. Wierd linking to theStreet, an old workplace o’ mine.

In other happy news, Georgia, a kitty who got lost in the NYC subway has been reunited with her owner! That’s completely crazy - she got out of her carrier and ran away 25 days ago and survived in the tunnels for that long. Apparently she was saved by some MTA people who heard the story and went above and beyond looking for the cat. That’s totally crazy. See and that’s a three way win, too! The cat wins by not being eaten by rats, the owner wins by getting the cat back and the MTA wins by getting good publicity! Yay! (via)

And speaking of three ways, Japan now has it’s very own version of Mystery, the pickup artist. Satoshi Fujita is now offering classes for guys who can’t get any. His sites in japanese, so that’s translated, but you can check out the Wired piece on him for some english language action. This is my favourite quote:

Women like laughter, compliments and magic tricks.

Dammit! That explains so much.
