UPDATE 2: Well, looks like Apple’s going to have a March 6 event to talk about the “iPhone software roadmap.” So SDK news, yes. Wonder what “enterprise” means. I suspect it means trouble for RIM, but who knows. So, more news on the 6th. Sigh. Presumably that means no SDK till at least a few weeks after the 6th, no?

UPDATE: Well 1.1.4 is out - but no SDK in sight. Hopefully this is just the warm up for the impending SDK!. As of now, I guess we settle for “bug fixes”. Sigh.

Well, this story is buzzing through the blogoweb. Arik is saying that he’s got it on good authority that the much awaited iPhone SDK is going to be delayed a week or three. And the world weeps.. there’s still time to make it by their February deadline, but it’s less than a week to go and no sign of anything it seems likely that this rumor’s a true one. Hopefully we’ll at least get some kind of announcement from Apple next week. I’ve waited this long, a little more won’t hurt, but I’m really dieing to know exactly how Apple’s going to work the SDK and getting apps on the phone. I’m guessing that an open environment isn’t in the offing, but a fanboy can hope, right? Sigh.
