Monday is Art day. Isn’t it?

If you were waiting for the day that the New York Times would post an article entitled “Starship Kimchi: A Bold Taste Goes Where It Has Never Gone Before” well then, yesterday was your day! Congratulations! (via Frank) This is super odd, the three top gov’t resesarch institutes spent millions and years perfecting this immune to cosmic radiation kimchee! Three! I like kimchee, probably more than the next guy, but this quote… well, they make me wonder…

The key was how to make a bacteria-free kimchi while retaining its unique taste, color and texture

Sadly, I guess non-space kimchee is not bacteria-free… I admit that I think I generally prefer my food without additional microbes, but I guess you can’t have everything.

XKCD: Fruit OpinionXKCD has posted his most controversial comic yet, Fruit Opinions! Bringing science and the maths to a graph of the tastiness and easiness of fruits to the world. while I’m with him on the seedless grapes, I think he goes way to easy on seeded grapes and is really harsh with oranges. I’d like to see where he places Clementines on this chart. And I’m totally with him in his distaste for cantaloupes - although I admit I just had ones that were really the best I’ve ever had.

So, you know I dig the open webcams, right? Check it, now there’s a screen saver that finds some open cams (using the googles) and brings your voyeuristic needs right to your desktop. I did the search and found these two awesome ones… here’s what I guess to be a russian internet cafe - I thought it wasn’t updating, until I realized that it was updating every refresh, it’s just the people weren’t moving. And here’s one that is strangely under the water in a pool.
