Breakfast Links: New Zealand, America & Army Dogs
See, now this is what I’m talking about. A mayor in New Zealand crushed several other competitors in a mayoral pole dancing competition. Not only has Tim Shadbold been named NZ’s hottest mayor he won for his constituents 1000 $1 tickets! You can check out the video here, hopefully. It kinda worked only a little bit for me, but I got to see it sans sound at least. Disturbing. But do you think Bloomberg would do that for NYC? Do you think Obama or Hillary would do it for America??
You know who’d do it for America? That’s right. John McClane. (Well that’s right if you were thinking John McClane, if you weren’t, then you were wrong, most likely.) Check out John’s entry into the presidential battle at ANationForChange.com. You can not deny his credentials… I mean, he’s definitely tough on terror. Right? And he’d definitely win a pole dancing competition. What, don’t you want $1 airfare??
You know what else he’d fix? He’d allow our soldiers to take their adopted dogs with them, instead of forcing them to abandon the dog or somehow find it a ticket home. It’s a pretty sad story as soldiers find dogs, like K-Pot who fit in the soldier’s helmet when he found him caught in razor wire. Or Nubs who after Maj. Brian Dennis was forced to abandon her when his group moved, tracked him down over 70 miles away. After that story, $3500 was raised by friends to get that dog home to the US of A. You know John McClane would’ve just made it happen!

Earthlink has been doing this for a while now. I use earthlink as a provider through TWC cause its a bit cheaper. They DON’T have an option to disable this “service” so i called them up all mad and they gave me alternate DNS servers to use. They are (currently) less trafficked so no only are they redirect-free, but a bit faster i think.
