I guess that make sense, the incremental cost of adding an RSS feed is pretty low so I can see just doing it and removing it later. Of course, since I live in constant fear, I personally have a fear of subscribing to the hundreds of feeds I see some people with, so I try and have a more stringent first pass. For me, it's a time-management issue. I usually don't want to spend too much time on a site at a time (since I'm usually just taking a quick break from work). I'd rather space the research out.
