Hacked!
Wow, I think someone just hacked this blog. Got here a 20 minutes ago to find that the site was kinda messed and the admin was telling me to upgrade. Since I’m not about to upgrade (for some reason, even clean installing isn’t smooth on my system - upgrades don’t work here automatically) I discovered that the db_options entry in the database had been reset to 1 which told the system it was out of date… I manually fixed that and everything came back. But I discovered that all my plugins had been disabled and I had a dozen spam comments. I wonder if that was all related - if there’s a hack to turn of akismet with these side effects that allows spam comments to get through. That is teh suck.
I guess I’ll try and have a go at upgrading this bad boy this weekend. I guess if my Mac comes home safe and sound. Sigh. I grabbed the logs to see if I can see anything there… fun times.

well look at that! this morning you post negative comments about the government, this afternoon your computer goes on the fritz, and this evening your blog is hacked.
Hmmm….

That is creepy. I’m voting for Bush in ‘08!

Isn’t hackery the most sincere form of flattery? Glad to see everything a-ok.

I could definitely do without that kinda flattery. :) Compliments work way better for me!
