RE: Oh Blah Dee Blah Dan

Well, actually . . . the punctuation rules vary, depending on where you reside.

In Great Britain, the standard is to place the sentence commas and periods outside the quotation marks, as Patrick did.

In America, the standard is to place them inside.

RE: Patrick: The possessive form of “it” is “its”, not “it’s”.

The correct punctuation should be:
The possessive for of "it" is "its," not "it's."

JS - I largely agree with you. I can see, though, why devs might prefer to take that marketing on themselves. But still, I think overall, this is much better than what I was expecting from Apple. The big question remains is how many apps Apple will just say no to. Hopefully, they keep a pretty lenient policy towards it!

Thanks, Zato. And Patrick. Thanks! But there was only one mess up... cut me some slack!

This is huge. No one else on the planet has such an integrated strategy that spans across so many devices. There will be more devices. This is just the tip of the iceberg. Speaking from a consumer standpoint: Apple has created a new platform..plain & simple. Why would I want to waste my time searching the internet for apps for my iphone or iPod touch (let's not forget this growing segment of the equation) when I can conveniently find them all in one place & download them immediately. After all most of us have a life. The developers just have to think about the App part & do not have to deal with credit cards, pay pal, billing, hosting, marketing & have shelf space on one of the most successful internet storefronts in existence. Every Iphone & iPod touch user will be able to see everyone of those apps at anytime of their choosing & download it immediately to the device or at home from their computer, updates will be a no brainer & take little effort on the users part. Very convenient & well thought out.
