Sad Mac ][: The (in)Conclusion

Awesome. So, I got the call on Friday afternoon that my iMac was fixed and I could pick it up. So, thankfully I had left it at the Apple 5th Ave store which is open 24/7 so I picked it up on the way home that night. I dreamed sweet dreams of my 24″ screen and woke refreshed and ready to jack my MacBook out and put the iMac back on duty.
Imagine my horror when I turned it on to find that the silent glory that was once my iMac had become a jet engine with the fan immediately cranked up to 11? Yes. Horror. I tried resetting the SMC and called the Apple Care line who had me reset it again. No joy. Sadly, I had to bring it back into the store and even more sadly it is back there for some period of time. At least with ProCare I didn’t have to make an appointment and kinda just showed up and cut the line after only 10 or 15 minutes wait. Poor consolation, but I gotta have something.
We’ll see how it goes this time. Sigh. I knew I shoulda gotten a Dell… I kid! I kid!

I suppose even the holy Apple is entitled to a trip up now and then.
