Well, I’m off to a weekend of sun, beach and diving. So long suckas. But fear not, this blog will not lie fallow. Just mostly fallow. I’ve spent several long minutes, copy and pasting a review I did elsewhere and writing another post up so there’ll be at least two posts between now and when I get back next week. See how much I care about you all?

In the meantime I’m going to leave you with a couple links to occupy yourself with while I’m drinking out of a pineapple.

First check out this neato tag browser that shows you flickr images all swirled up onto a sphere. I don’t think it has a point, it’s not the most efficient way to go about looking over images, but damn, it’s a neat display of flash prowess. Go ahead, give it a whirl.

And if that’s got you in the hankering for stars, check out this time lapse video of starfish moving. Well, it starts out with some non-starfish stuff and then gets to the starfish, which starts out a little boring but quickly becomes … well… a little gross. I mean really, that’s gotta be the least sexy mode of transport in the animal kingdom. Sorry starfish, I’m a straight shooter, I call it like I see it.

And I’m going to be reading the galley copy of Brust’s upcoming Jhegaala novel. Sadly, not the one he was auctioning off, that was too rich for my blood, but anyhoo. I don’t feel the guilt now that he’s ok with such activities. :) I mean, hey, I’ll end up buying the hardcover too, I suspect. What can I say.
