Monday or Art? Both!
So… a 75-year old guy just climbed Mt. Everest. (via) And he’s the second oldest person in the world to do so. The 76 year old that claimed the title got there the day before he did. What up with old people? Someone give them extra wheaties? This gives me extra hope for my future, of course according to Kurzweil we’ll all be nano-swarms way before then, so getting up Everest will just be a matter of getting the cold-resistant nanobots and floating up to the top, which on the one hand will be less satisfying but on the other hand, I’ll probably be online and brain chatting with my 4 million best friends the entire time so, you know.
At the other end of the age spectrum, while that guy was rocking up the mountain, some high school student was calling her school officials douchebags on her blog. Which is, obviously, what the internet is used for (please see hcwdb for proof – nsfw). Unfortunately for said student, said officials seemed to take offense and removed her from her august position of class secretary. That’s when the suing ensued which naturally didn’t do squat since sure you’re free to call them douchebags just as they’re free to fire your ass. That’s life.
If that leaves a bad taste in your mouth you can always head over to ratebeer.com. It is a site where you go and rate… beer. From the looks of it much rating happens by beer nerds since I don’t know any of the top 50 beers and they’re all like 5 or 6 word long names. Which is to say, that’s awesome and I’m thirsty.
