Save Joss Whedon’s Dollhouse! Wait. What? It isn’t even on and isn’t in danger of being cancelled, why are people already organizing a campaign to save the show? Well, primarily because nerds (and I include myself here, just so you know) are crazy. Ostensibly (and perhaps reasonably) because the networks hate good shows (see Firefly and Freaks and Geeks for good examples) and tend to cancel them before they’ve even been given a chance – Whedon fans are going to try and put their best foot forward to make the show a success. At this point, I’m ambivalent about this campaign, but we’ll see how things go when the show airs. (via)
You love fruit right? And vegetables? Well have no fear, there’s a website to help you love them even more! That’s right, the fruitandveggieguru is here to help you with the 411 on this edible plantlife! I mean, it’s got suggestions on what to do with it, how to prepare it, blah blah blah. All I care about, though, is how the hell to pick them. I’m the worst fruit picker in the world. I hope to now become not the worst fruit picker in the world.
And then there was George Lucas. In particular there is George Lucas’ Dickipedia entry! (via) How did the fact that there is a Dickipedia on the web escape my notice until now?? You guys are slacking, that’s how. Anyhow, it has now come to my attention and life is good. Take this bit from Lucas’ entry under the section head “Indiana Jones: Return of the Money”:
Again, nearly two decades after the fact, Lucas exhumed the corpse of Harrison Ford to reprise his role as Indiana Jones in Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. The film was released May 22, 2008, and opened to mixed reviews, which many critics attribute to script issues. Reportedly, the original script was scrapped and rewritten several times by several different writers, forcing the studio to inform increasingly impatient fans that they had top men working on it right now. Top. Men.
You know you want to read the whole thing now. Do you want to miss out on the “Virginity” section in his entry? I know you don’t. Just go with it.
